On 3rd February, 2019, Quantum Ideas Ghana, a youth group advocating for quality education opened a new library at Awaso in the Western region of Ghana.
QI-GH is a non-governmental organization, made up of goal-oriented young professionals who are who believes in education-for-all.
At an honorable gathering of Chiefs and the people of Awaso, the executive director of the QI-GH, Madam Ethel Anne Komlaga launched the library. In few words, she said,
'Few months ago, we identified the need to operationalize an unused library facility in Awaso, a town in the Western Region. We were determined to create the opportunity for school going children and adults in the community to have unlimited access to learning materials that will enhance their academic activities. On this premise, we spearheaded the renovation, furnishing and stocking of the facility in collaboration with the traditional council and our partners.'
The Chief of Awaso Traditional Area, Nana Katakyie Kwame Amponsah II, thanked the group for their massive mobilization in seeing to it that his people also get access to library. He urged the youth to make good use of the library.
Also present were the clergy, heads of various institutions in the community and other dignitaries.
